Andrea Wagner

Andrea L. Wagner recently stepped in as the Interim Executive Director for CAMHPRO (CA Assoc. of Mental Health Peer Run Organizations) with the mentorship and blessing of outgoing founding director Sally Zinman, a 45-year advocate and pillar in the Peer Movement. Andrea has worked closely with Sally as a program manager for CAMHPRO since 2020. Previously, Andrea worked for five years at Butte County Crisis Services. During that time, she continued local advocacy efforts for peer support services that resulted in wage increases, permanent full-time peer jobs, and a re-classification of peer support specialists in the county. Her efforts also supported Northern Valley Talk Line and the development of the Diverse Minds North State program of Iversen Wellness and Recovery Center. Diverse Minds is an art and writing project including participants from wellness communities throughout California that has hosted a film festival, an art show, and the creation of six annual books of writing and art, as an empowerment to individuals and to reduce stigma. Andrea studied journalism at Chico State University and worked as a newspaper reporter. She currently lives in Chico with her son and an incredibly devious cat named Jeff. She will complete her master’s in public administration from USC this summer.

Ebony has extensive experience working with youth and families in the foster care system providing trauma-informed education and training to potential foster parents. In addition, she provides community-based yoga therapy, training, and workshops for teachers, social workers, and foster families focused on restorative practices.

A well-liked staff member, he often collaborates with MHASF and has presented a number of workshops at the Redefining Crazy Conference over several years. His well-attended workshops are on point, engaging, educational, and thought-provoking.

Nicole Steward

Nicole Steward is a social worker (MSW), homeless/foster youth liaison, and certified yoga instructor with a focus on community engagement, public education, and trauma-informed yoga. With more than two decades of social work practice in non-profits and accountability work in K-12 education, Nicole has noticed the need for a trauma-informed lens in the worlds of social services and education to better help us understand the needs of those we serve. Nicole also believes self-care is a radical tendency we must adopt if we are to discharge the toxic stress we absorb through our work and sustain ourselves as service providers, educators, and human beings. In addition to her day job, Nicole teaches yoga, mindfulness, and offers trauma-informed self-care workshops and retreats. A quote that drives her forward in her work is by Lilla Watson, “If you have come to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together."
